Robbie Williams-Jimmy Page Feud Intensifies
As neighbors, Robbie Williams and Led Zeppelin member Jimmy Page are already involved in a war of harsh words, but recently Robbie seems to have fueled the feud. The ex “Take That” member has presented planning proposals for the £17.5 million home, which comprises of development of an enormous basement with swimming pool. The first submission of his proposals to modernize the mansion was strongly opposed by Page. It has been reported that Page claims the modernization works could cause damage to the neighboring mansions in the locality.
The new plans, if endorsed by the council officials, will entail several months of excavation work and heavy drilling, which will undoubtedly make the veteran guitarist furious. In the proposal, Williams has said that he intends to convert the 46-room home into a contemporary family house. Currently the singer lives with his wife and their two kids (son Charlton Valentine and daughter Theodora Rose).
The initial plans were submitted by Williams last month. It included a lift, a new studio, a car park, addition of a window, and partly filling in of a swimming pool. He mentioned that the works would continue for nine months. However, Page, the father of five, has lived in his Tower House for around 40 years. He considers his house to be one of the key structures in the borough. Therefore, he has officially complained with “Kensington and Chelsea Council”. He has expressed his concern in a letter saying that the construction works would be an eyesore and the vibrations could damage other properties in the neighborhood, including his Tower House.
